About the event
LCA loop going through the Countess of Chester Country Park with its Wetlands area, Poppy Trail and numerous sculptures, then over the canal and around the old Mollington Grange Golf Course currently left for nature. Returning alongside the canal and through the other side of the Country Park.
The walk includes some information on the new wetlands development project at the Country Park, that will reintroduce more native species, provide increased flood protection for Chester and capture more CO2.
Suitable for children, senior citizens, and anyone in-between the walk is also excellent for dogs, but hopeless for wheelchairs or buggies. Suitable footwear will be anything flat soled and stout, but boots will be best.
The Oak Tree are happy for us to use the far end of their car park and hope that most of us will want to call in at the end for a tea, a coffee or a glass of wine or a pint.
