Humanists believe strongly that when we work together we are greater than the sum of our parts.
Chester Humanists are working with other voluntary groups to organise Great Get Together events in 2019 aimed at helping to celebrate local communities and contribute to efforts to tackle social exclusion.

Jo Cox was murdered in June 2016 - in part at least because she believed in tolerance and bringing people together.
In June 2017 the first Great Get Together weekend took place marking the anniversary of Jo Cox's death with many community events.
In June 2019 the weekend marks the anniversary of her birth and promises to offer even more.
