Chair - Peter

Peter is current Chair of Chester Humanists; he is also a Humanist Celebrant conducting Funerals, Namings and Weddings.

Peter’s working life has so far encompassed roles within manufacturing, customer service management, systems and finance management across public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He is also an artist producing mainly figurative "Humanist focused" art.

Chester branch already attracts a diverse set of people from across the region to different talks, events and meet-ups and Peter hopes that the Chester branch will broaden its appeal further over coming years as more people get involved, and contribute to enhancing local communities.

Drawn to its positivity and its ability to help understand and engage with reality and help people, he believes passionately in the ability of a Humanist perspective to help us in our day to day lives - on a practical and spiritual basis.

A member of Humanists UK School Speaker team, he is on the local Standing Committee for Religious Education (S.A.C.R.E.) trained to engage in Dialogue (a member of West Cheshire Interfaith Forum) and to deliver pastoral care.
