Committee Member - Tony

“I joined Chester Humanists in 2013 after seeing a notice in the Chester Chronicle, then took on the role of Chair after about three years. Having stepped back from the role in 2019 (to make way for a younger, more vibrant man), I now have a supportive role as Committee Member Without Portfolio.

“For me, Humanism blends the scientific method, critical thinking, tolerance and compassion, all without the need for magical thinking or faith. These were ideas I held all through my adult life, which carried through my 30 plus years of teaching.

“After retiring from the formal education business, I spent five years working as a technical assistant at digital fabrication labs (Fab Labs) in Ellesmere Port and Altrincham. Now retired, but doing the occasional Supporting Artist work for the large and small screen (autographs and selfies strictly by appointment).”
