Drumming Circle

Group drumming can be fun and often promotes feelings of comradery and wellbeing in participants.

This workshop is an opportunity to learn to play some percussion including the traditional Irish/Celtic drum the bodhran (pronounced bow-rawn) which itself has it’s origins in North Africa. 

We’ll play along to some traditional music. It’s hard not to want to move to some jigs and reels - a listener, dancer and player can get “lost” in the music.

Please bring along a drum if you have one – some bodhrans and other percussion will be available. 

A social event we hope members will enjoy – there will be cheese and wine available too and time for discussions!
