About the event

Open to everyone - please join us for a morning of stimulating literature and conversation. This informal and friendly group meets to listen to an extract, short story or poem which is read aloud. Frequent pauses in the reading give us the opportunity to chat about what we've imagined/thought of/felt as we've listened. Tea, coffee and other beverages available at The Kitchen in Storyhouse.

Stories will be read aloud and the text will usually be available. No one else need read aloud unless they so wish. It's an enjoyable way to meet people, explore some great writing and enjoy some wonderful discussions.

Julian Baggini, philosopher and patron of Humanists UK.
